The Calgary Pregnancy Care Centre is a non-profit organization that has cared for thousands of women who have faced an unplanned pregnancy. Their focus is not on the past, but on the future. They are equipped to care for women facing an unplanned pregnancy regardless of marital status, age, race, or religion.
Some of the practical support the Centre has provided over the years includes: Pregnancy Tests, Options Counseling, Community Education and Support Groups. A variety of clothing for mom and new baby are available to single parents and low-income families. They can help you explore a variety of housing options available in Calgary. The Centre also assists women in need of Referrals - anything from Medical Care to Social Services, Prenatal Assistance (e.g. preparation for breastfeeding, children classes, "Best beginnings", etc.), School Alternatives, Professional Counseling, Sexual Assault Services, Adoption Agencies and Parenting Assistance.
There are 115 volunteers who are active at the Centre at
any given time. An eight member Board of Director provides oversight to
the affairs and direction of the agency. Since it was established in 1985,
CPCC has provided information, material aid, and peer counseling to thousands
of woman at a pivotal point in their lives. The Calgary Pregnancy Care
Centre is non-profit & non-political. Our focus is not on the past,
but on the future.
